Ueli Berger for De Sede, lounge chair, in wood and leather, Switzerland, 1970s

High back lounge chairs by Swiss manufacturer De Sede. The X-shaped frame consists of black lacquered wood. This makes an interesting contrast to the warm patinated cognac leather. The cushion is upholstered in patchwork motive.

De Sede once started as a saddler's workshop in Klingnau, Switzerland. Slowly, the company widened their Scope and committed themselves to transforming the best possible leather into seating furniture. In 1965 the family-run business grew into a professional company and their name was De Sede AG. De Sede products are detail-obsessed with the main focus on the people who own them. Therefore, all the De Sede items are made out of the best materials which results in durability and comfort.
