Tove and Edvard Kindt-Larsen for Seffle Möbelfabrik, cabinet with drawers, oak, brass, Denmark, design 1961
Danish designer couple Tove and Edvard Kindt-Larsen designed this cabinet with drawers in 1961. It has a well-structured front with a column of drawers and two doors. The disk-shaped handles in brass characterize this cabinet. The interior is rather surprising. A royal green lacquer adds a playful look to the clean structured cabinet. The warm color of the oakwood is in harmony with the brass details.
Both Tove (1906-1994) and Edvardt (1901-1982) Kindt-Larsen were trained as architects. During their marriage and partnership as architects and furniture designers they were at the forefront of Danish and Scandinavian design. They are known for refined and modest Scandinavian Modern design executed with the highest quality materials.
