Sale price$2,650.00

Sven Ivar Dysthe for Dokka Møbler, lounge chair, model '1001', oak, fabric "Circles" by Maharam and designed by Charles and Ray Eames (1947), Norway, 1960s

This Norwegian lounge chair features a solid construction, evident in the shape of its wooden frame and the slightly tilted elongated backrest, emphasizing its clearly structured design. The oak wood showcases a striking texture, adding visual interest and a sense of nature. The seat is upholstered in a delicate fabric designed by Charles and Ray Eames for a 1947 textile competition at MoMA. These armchairs can be positioned either in the center of a room or away from the wall, enhancing the space with a lively ambiance.

Kindly note that the fabric is in used condition with signs of age and use, including discoloration and wear spots. Reupholstery is possible before shipping by our experienced craftspeople in our own in-house restoration atelier. With high attention for the original, they make sure every piece retains its value and is ready for the many years to come. We kindly ask you to contact our design experts for further information about the endless possibilities our restoration and upholstery atelier has to offer. Of course, a locally organized reupholstery is possible as well.
