Spanish Brutalist Set of Six Dining Chairs in Iron and Leather
Set of six dining chairs, iron, leather, stained beech, Spain, 1950s.
These distinctive chairs of Spanish origin reflect the stylistic traits of Brutalism. This movement is an architectural style started from the mid-20th century, aiming for raw, geometric and compromise-less buildings. Characterized by blatant concrete-skeletons with geometric patterns and Puritan materials. In decorative arts brutalism is highly represented in furniture design. The iron frame is comprised of a simple silhouette with clear lines. The seat is considerably large based on a grid pattern. The low backrest is executed in leather that shows a fine curve.
Please be aware that there are some minor structural variations regarding the seats. The leather is in used condition with visible wear. Reupholstery and restoration can be done before shipping by our experienced craftspeople in our own in-house restoration atelier.
