Sofa with Tubular Frame and Brown Upholstery

Sofa, fabric, chrome-plated metal, Northern Europe, 1930s

This sofa is designed according to the principles of the Bauhaus Movement. The design features a tubular frame executed in chromed metal and features striking lines and round edges. Characteristic detail is the elongated, round cushion that functions as a backrest. This piece of furniture is designed to provide an ultimate level of comfort due to the thick seating cushions and the upholstered armrests. The sofa has a robust and strong appearance within a simplistic construction that allows it to fit seamlessly into any interior.

Please note that the fabric is in fair condition with tears and stains. Reupholstery is possible before shipping by our experienced craftsman and -women in our own in-house restoration atelier. With high attention for the original, they make sure every piece retains its value and is ready for the many years to come. We kindly ask you to contact our design experts for further information about the endless possibilities our restoration and upholstery atelier has to offer. Of course, a locally organized reupholstery is possible as well.
