Sofa "Caravelle" in Brown Leather by Paul Leidersdorff
Sofa, steel and leather, Denmark, 1960s.
This Danish sofa holds an L-shaped seating and this shape is repeated in the legs. A double L is mirrored to form the steel 'slipper.' The base of this sofa is characteristic and provides an open character to this sofa. The seat and back are upholstered with reddish leather and the leather is tufted on every separate element including the armrests. These tufted leather cushions provide the sitter with great comfort. This sofa is therefore both aesthetically pleasing and functional.
The brown red leather upholstery has aged and shows signs of age and use.
