Brutalist credenza, wood and aluminum, Belgium, 1970s.
Modern and clean two-door sideboard cabinet. Two-door panels, each with an exceptional three-dimensional pattern. The continuous pattern gives this bar-cabinet a very strong expression. The aluminum base makes a nice addition to the grey cabinet and provide a match both in color as in opposition to the material of the body. The sideboard is equipped with shelves. Brutalism is an architectural style started from the mid-20th century, aiming for raw, geometric and compromise-less buildings. Characterized by blatant concrete-skeletons with geometric patterns and Puritan materials. In decorative arts brutalism is highly represented in furniture design.
