Set of Twelve Italian Armchairs with Bentwood Frames
Set of twelve dining chairs, wood, fabric, Italy, 1970s
This lovely set of Italian dining chair has a strong resemblance to Augusto Savini's 'Pamplona' chair (1965) and Afra & Tobia Scrapa's 'Pigreco' chair (1959/60), yet the designs are different in their details. This chair also has the same shaped frame but then the connections are executed fully in wood. These chairs have black lacquered frames and the seats and backrests are upholstered in a multicolored fabric.
