Set of Six Danish Dining Chairs in Teak and Oak
Dining chairs, teak and oak, Denmark, 1950s.
This set of six chairs is made by a cabinetmaker in Denmark. The chairs have a tripod frame made of oak and a backrest executed in teak. The chairs main characteristic is the bent single back leg. The leg flows all the way from the backrest and bents slightly when the at the height of the seat. The chairs are airy, vibrant and elegant. And even though this set may seem delicate, the set is in fact very strong and comfortable. The chairs have traits of the style of Arne Hovmand Olsen.
