Exquisite and dynamic wooden desk lamp of the Amsterdam School period. The lamp features a sculptural and hand carved wooden base that seems to resemble a bird. The shade is made of orange cloth and is typical for the Dutch Amsterdam School movement. The fan-like shape of the lamp base is very dynamic and therefore has some resemblance of Italian Futurism of the early 20th century. The wooden base is inscribed with mark 'JP', but the designer remains unknown.
