Scandinavian Set of Chairs in Teak and Terracotta Curduroy
Set of eight dining chairs, teak, red orange corduroy, Scandinavia, circa 1955.
The set of eight chairs is sensuous, sculptural and elegant. Two chairs dramatically high and sculpted armrests, while six have no armrests. The design features a high, sculpted back.. The curved, tapered legs are another main feature of the chairs. The main feature of this set is the seat of that is separated from the frame itself and has the armrests attached but not the legs. This is an aesthetic element that was introduced into design by Finn Juhl.
