Large set of lacquered tubular chairs designed by the one of the masters of the Modern architecture; French architect Robert Mallet-Stevens. This model of a chair is one of Mallet-Stevens's best-known pieces of furniture that he created for the Salon des Art Ménagers exhibition in 1936. The chair is a masterpiece of simplicity—durable and stackable. All possible decorative conceits are left out. The chairs are marked with RMS at the bottom.
