Robert Haussmann for De Sede, DS-P seating group, sofa, armchairs and ottoman, cognac leather, Switzerland, 1960s.

This living room set is designed by Robert Haussmann for De Sede. The set consists of a four-seat sofa, two armchairs and an ottoman. The pieces define themselves by diamond, honeycomb shaped tufted sections that are visible on seats and backs. The set is furthermore an example of De Sede's work, both in robustness, durability and quality.

The leather of this set is original and has aged due to wear and time. Especially visible on the armrests of the armchairs and ottomans were small cracks and discoloration can be seen.

De Sede once started as a saddler's workshop in Klingnau, Switzerland. Slowly, the company widened their Scope and committed themselves to transforming the best possible leather into seating furniture. In 1965 the family-run business grew into a professional company and their name was De Sede AG. De Sede products are detail-obsessed with the main focus on the people who own and use them. Therefore, all the De Sede items are made out of the best materials which results in durability and comfort.
