Poul Henningsen for Louis Poulsen, pendant model 'Charlottenburg', metal, Denmark, 1979.
This lamp is based on a well-designed construction containing three white metal shades that are mounted on three vertical ribs, so that the light is equally divided. The pendant indirectly illuminates the room which means that the spectator has no direct view on the light source itself. Provides a smooth, comfortable and glare-free illumination. Originally designed in the 1970s, this still is a modern decorative lamp that has retained all its charm over the years.
Poul Henningsen attained worldwide fame after first showing his PH selection on the Exposition Internationale des Arts Décoratifs in 1925, which was a Modern Industrial Design Show in Paris.
