This wonderful example of Italian postmodern design shows an exciting combination of materials, textures and shapes. A round tabletop in white marble is echoed by a round foot in smaller size. Between both parts a striking base consisting of five chromed metal tubes runs along.

Pascal Mourgue for Steiner, set of six 'Biscia' dining chairs, steel, black leather, France, 1960s
Set of six tubular steel 'Biscia' cantilever chairs in black leather by Pascal Mourgue. These chairs have a very dynamic appearance due to their frame of tubular chromed steel. The frame of these cantilever chairs is S-shaped and consist of one bent tube. Upholstered with saddle leather in black color. An admirable patina is visible on the leather, which creates a vibrant surface and a striking contrast with the steel.

Measurements of the chairs: 73 x 46.5 x 50 cm
