Postmodern Cocoon Pendant 1970s
Pendant metal, cocoon fabric, Italy, 1970s.
This biomorphic pendant is typical for the Postmodern design of the 1970s in Italy. The lampshade is made of a cocoon type fabric and the rack is made of metal. The lamp almost seems to hold a person or animal that is trying to burst out of its skin. A very frivolous and dynamic lamp that will certainly make any room come to live thanks to its protruding elements and expressive character.
The lamp is in the manner of Achille and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni's 'Viscontea' pendant lamp from the 1960s.
