Pierre Chapo, “Godot” L01I daybed, elm and fabric, France, 1965

The L01 bed by Pierre Chapo is characterized for its taut, sober design with simple lines and the box joints at the corners of the frame. Chapo designed this daybed in 1959 for the write Samuel Becket and named it 'Godot', in reference to the play 'Waiting for Godot'. This specific model is called L01I and features a mattress size of 140 x 190cm / 55 x 75 in.
