Pier Luigi Colli Sideboard in Oak

Pier Luigi Colli, sideboard, oak, Italy, 1940s

This exquisite credenza, a creation of the Italian designer Pier Luigi Colli, embodies both elegance and exceptional craftsmanship. The front facade of this masterpiece comprises eighteen panels, each meticulously adorned with intricate wood carvings. These panels alternate between showcasing delicately carved animal motifs and unadorned surfaces, creating a captivating visual rhythm. The top is garnished with marquetry consisting of an angular pattern executed in oak veneer. Another noteworthy aspect of this piece lies in its robust, tapered legs. These legs impart a chiseled appearance marked by vertical lined carvings. Despite their substantial foundation, these legs exude a sense of elegance.

Please note that the top contain fissures, wear, and discoloration. Therefore, restoration is advised. Restoration is possible before shipping by our experienced craftsman and -women in our own in-house restoration atelier. With high attention for the original, they make sure every piece retains its value and is ready for the many years to come. We kindly ask you to contact our design experts for further information about the endless possibilities our restoration and upholstery atelier has to offer. Of course, a locally organized restoration is possible as well.
