Pia Manu Handcrafted Coffee Table
Pia Manu, coffee table, slate, pyrite, iron, Belgium, 1960s This unique, handmade coffee table with cut and wrought iron frame is designed in the workshop of Pia Manu. First off, the table top is what catches your eye. With its subtle tones of black and grey with hints of green the table top is a quite exquisite. In it there is a decorative yet abstract motiv of a fish, which creates beautiful shimmering lines across the service. The legs form arcades with individuel iron arches with rough edges. Pia Manu is a workshop from Ingelmunster, Belgium. Here, amongst others, Jules Dewaele and his son Koen Dewaele designed several design pieces during the 1960s. Pia Manu is still working along similar lines, with natural materials such as stone and travertine combined with ceramics.
