Percival Lafer Lounge Chair with Ottoman in Red Brown Leather
Percival Lafer, lounge chair with ottoman, model MP-211, hardwood, leather, Brazil, 1974
Bulky and volominous lounge chair with pouf by Brazilian designer Percival Lafer. This chair features a solid dark wooden base with leather seating spanned between the slats. The diagonally placed frame forms a nice contrast with the round, sizable seat, giving the chair a disharmonious look. The leather consists of several shields and is decorated with leather laces.
Percival Lafer began making furniture in the early 1960s. He had the true modernist view, and wanted to bring good and affordable design to everyone. His furniture is characterized by a modern and contemporary design in addition with solid hardwoods from Brazil.
Dimensions of ottoman: H 42 x W 81 x D 62 in cm
Please note that there are several traces that refer to the intensive use and age of this lounge chair, such as faded spots, and scratches on the leather.
