Pendants in Smoked Pulegoso Glass and Brass

$895.00

Pendants, brass, glass, Europe, 1970s.

Large set of pendants with brass fixture and gold colored raindrop glass. The glass, which is called Pulegoso, contains numerous bubbles of all sizes. Not surprisingly, the word pulega translated from Italian to bubble. This effect is achieved by adding bicarbonate of soda, gasoline, or other substances to the glass melt. The structured glass pendants are part of the midcentury design collection of Morentz. Canopy, stern and fixture are made of brass and show an admirable patina.
