Lounge chairs, pine, Sweden, 1930s-1940s

Set of two armchairs made of stained pine with forged iron fittings. The chairs resemble the look of woden barrels, giving it a artisan look. This is mainly achieved by the forged iron fitting which give it an interesting, unique detail. The round form of the chairs is juxtaposed by the straight lines of the armrests. These chairs resemble the style of Axel Einar Hjorth's Sportstugemöbel. This unique piece will add character to any interior.
