Angelo Mangiarotti for Poltronova, cabinet or bookcase from the multiuse series, exotic wood, aluminum, Italy, 1960s.
Beautiful bookcase or sideboard of the multiuse series that Mangiarotti designed for Poltronova. Multiuse series stands for versatile pieces of furniture that are adjustable as desired by the user. This cabinet features a composition solely build up from horizontal and vertical lines, that creates an almost Japanese aesthetics. The piece consists of four aluminum shelves that have a floating appearance. Six wooden sliding doors are located between the shelves. These can be moved to any side, creating a wonderful play of composition.
The sliding doors are made of exotic wood, which is a striking combination with the light aluminum. An exquisite piece of furniture that is both aesthetically and in use noteworthy.
