Pair of Lounge Chairs by Gustave Gautier
Gustave Gautier, pair of armchairs, oak and fabric, France, 1954
This sculptural set of easy chairs by Gustave Gautier is very well executed and made out of solid oak. The slatted backrest and seat are adjustable to make it a comfortable lounger. The armrests are thick and robust, as well as the front legs. The cushions used for the seating and back are upholstered with a multicolored checkered fabric. The wood features a deep and warm patina.
