Pair of Italian Easy Chairs in Turqouoise Leatherette
Sofa, turquoise leatherette, fabric, wood, Italy, 1950s.
This set of easy chairs show traits of the design by the Italian designer Veronesi. The quirky set is elegant and frivolous and is completely rounded when seen from behind. The pieces feature a rounded, buttoned back with armrests that slope naturally from the back to the seat. As a result, this settee works as a comforting shell that embraces the sitter. The tapered legs are relatively small compared to the seat and are made of blond wood.
The seat and back show signs of age.
