Pair of lounge chairs with ottomans, oak, fabric, Germany, 1950s.

Modest set of two lounge chairs with two ottomans. These relaxing hunting chairs show a basic minimal design with great woodworking as visible in the beautifully executed oak wooden frame. An open character is created by the high legs. The wood-joints and the lace seating enhance this design. A line of white 'stitching' is beautifully visible. The two ottomans repeat the trapezium and tapered lines of the chairs. Furnished with brown upholstered cushions, this comfortable set provides an excellent hang-out. In design and quality these chairs show great resemblance to the chairs of Uno & Osten Kristiansson.
