Pair of armchairs, beech and fabric, France, 1920s.

These sturdy easy chairs, made in France, are geometric in its forms as it is build up completely in horizontal and vertical lines. The backrest is vertical comfortable armchairs have an interesting open construction, with a slatted back. The seating and back and armrests are made of cushions, upholstered in a red patterned fabric. The design of the chairs seem to be inspired of the shape of 17th and 18th century thrones, with the high, vertical backrest and the straight, sturdy armrests.

The upholstery shows signs of age and use and need to be replaced.
