Lounge chairs, plywood, seagrass, Denmark, 1940s.

Elegant pair of lounge chairs with back and seating of braided seagrass rope. The frame of these chairs is made of plywood and has a very nice and warm blond color. The back-legs and armrests show some nice organic curves. The breading is done with high attention to detail. Not only it shows a nice checkered pattern, there are also some great details on the sides of the seating. The blond wood nicely blends with the natural colored rope. Its overall exterior reminds of the designs of furniture designed by Bruno Mathsson.

Please note that these chairs show signs of age and use. One chair is slightly contorted and therefore 2 inches lower. Restoration is possible before use. This can be done before shipping by our experienced craftsman in our own in-house restoration atelier. With high attention for the original, they make sure every piece retains its value and is ready for the many years to come.
