Pair of Art Deco Lounge Chairs in Oak and Fabric
Pair of armchairs, oak and fabric, France, 1940s
The most distinctive feature of these Art Deco lounge chairs are the stained oak armrests that are curved with elegant details, such as the circular element in each arm. The seat is wide and the backrest becomes even wider towards the top. The thick seat is typical for the art deco movement.
The eggshell white to beige colored fabric shows signs of age and use. Stains and small tears are noticeable. The oak frames are wonderfully patinated. Reupholstery is necessary, which we can take care of by the experienced craftsmen in our in-house atelier.
