Pierluigi Colli, pair of armchairs, darkened oak and fabric, Italy, 1940s.

This beautiful set of armchairs are designed by the Italian designer Pierluigi Colli and produced by his own company Martinotti, that was specialized in high quality furniture. And these chairs are no exception to that. The most distinctive feature within these Art Deco lounge chairs are the armrests that have sculpted slats. The armrests are slightly curved and point down at the end. The chairs are luxurious in their look and feel and thanks to their thick cushions and are extremely comfortable. The thick back cushion is supported by a horizontal slat that is visible from the front as well.

The chairs are upholstered in a white teddy fabric. The darkened oak wood is in good condition, with small flaws mainly on the armrests, this can be easily solved in our in-house atelier.
