Afra & Tobia Scarpa for Cassina, pair of '925' easy chairs, walnut and leather, Italy, 1966
Set of two '925' lounge chairs by Italian designer couple Tobia and Afra Scarpa. These low chairs have a cubic and architectural appearance. The base consist of four straight, flat legs, which provide and open look. The seating and back are beautifully shaped and slightly curved. These chairs are very well detailed and feature various original design elements such as the gap in the lower back and the extension of the back below the seat. This set is made with a warm red-brown leather, combined with walnut.
