Paco Muñoz, set of four armchairs, leather, beech, Spain, 1950s
Midcentury Safari or ‘riaza’ armchiar by Spanish designer Paco Muñoz. These chairs are created out of high quality saddle leather with removable buckles underneath the seating. The leather has aged elegantly and shows stunning patina. Moverover, the frame is solid beech in a warm color that perfectly matches the leather. Muñoz was inspired by the Danish modern classics, such as the iconic safari chair by Kaare Klint, Arne Norell and Borge Mogensen, and Spanish friar armchairs of the 18th century. Creating an interesting, but stunning mix of influences in these chairs.
Please note that the item is in good, used condition. The leather has patina and color differences. Reupholstery is possible before shipping by our experienced craftsman and -women in our own in-house restoration atelier. With high attention for the original, they make sure every piece retains its value and is ready for the many years to come. We kindly ask you to contact our design experts for further information about the endless possibilities our restoration and upholstery atelier has to offer. Of course, a locally organized reupholstery is possible as well.
