Oscar Tusquets for Driade, side table model ‘Astrolabio’, aluminum, steel, glass, Spain, designed in 1988

Spanish designer Oscar Tusquets named his design ‘Astrolabio’ which is an orbicular astronomical instrument to measure and calculate. The frosted glass tabletop features a pattern that resembles a compass. The round glass lays in a steel frame that is connected to four arms. They connect on top of a cone-shape base on a round feet. The dark steel contrasts with the glass top in texture and color. With a diameter of 90 cm (35 in.) the table can function as a small dining or a side table.
