Norwegian Lounge Chairs by Sven Ivar Dysthe in Original Black Leather
Sven Ivar Dysthe for Dokke Møbler, leather, rosewood, steel, Norway, 1959.
This set of lounge chairs is designed by Sven Ivar Dysthe for Dokke Møbler. The frame of these armchairs is made out of rosewood and the legs are made out of stainless steel. The seats are covered in their original black leather in a 'channeled' technique which gives these chairs a very nice and modern appearance. The combination of these three materials form a balanced match between the soft deep leather, the warm rosewood and the slick clean steel. The design results in a very comfortable armchair that the seat seems to float in space.
A sophisticated set of lounge chairs that looks very good in your office or living room.
The chairs shows some signs of age and use. The leather is slightly aged, but still in good condition.
