Norwegian Lounge Chairs by Sven Ivar Dysthe in Beige Fabric
Sven Ivar Dysthe for Dokke Møbler, fabric, rosewood and steel, Norway, 1959.
This set of lounge chairs is designed by Sven Ivar Dysthe for Dokke Møbler. The frame of these armchairs is executed in rosewood and the legs are made out of stainless steel. The seats are covered in a subtle patterned beige fabric. The combination of these three materials form a balanced match between the soft fabric, the warm rosewood and the slick clean steel. The design results in a very comfortable armchair of which the seat seems to float in space. A sophisticated set of lounge chairs that looks very good in your office or living room.
The chairs show some signs of age and use. The leather is aged, with cracks all-over and a some fading on one of de seats.
