This lovely medium-sized sideboard is a Classic example of the craftsmanship of Danish Mid-modern design. At the same time, it stands for the Scandinavian Postwar vision of practical yet well-made design. The four tapered legs that are delicate and placed towards the middle. The sideboard features two sliding doors.
Niels Otto Møller (1920-1982) is a designer who is known his consistent excellence in craftsmanship. This dedication to quality and material stems from Møller's cabinetmaking apprenticeship which he undertook in 1939. After this he studied at the Århus School of Design. In 1944, Møller founded a small workshop: JL Møllers Møbelfabrik. The company grey over the years but this do not mean that Møller compromised in his relentless search for quality. Møller's furniture designs have been made by his own company for his entire life.
