Elegant designed freestanding desk designed by one of the best known Danish designers Nanna Ditzel. It creates its strength and beauty due to simple but well-designed forms. This model, equipped with four drawers, has been produced by Søren Willadsen in the late 1950s. The rosewood grain is very beautiful preserved and manufactured of outstanding quality.
Nanna Ditzel (1923-2005) was a cabinetmaker and became a furniture designer in 1946, and together with her husband Jørgen Ditzel (1921-1961). Nanna Ditzel was a designer who was focussed on the use, need and function of furniture. Her style is therefore very approachable and useful but at times also bold and experimental. Ditzel made use of innovative techniques and materials.
