Motoko Ishii for Staff Leuchten, set of three wall lights, glass, aluminum, metal, chrome, Germany, 1970s

Motoko Ishii is a Japanese lighting designer and created these octagonal shaped wall lights in different heights. This allows the user to create interesting compositions on the wall or ceiling. The geometric glass shades stand on a cubic socket. The direct light reflects on the chrome creating a shimmery partition and when turned off the lamps possess a sculptural appearance.
