Max Glendinning Sofa in Rosewood
Max Glendinning for Race Furniture, settee, rosewood, metal, fabric, United Kingdom, 1967.
A 'Pica' sofa that is part of the Maximus Range for Race Furniture designed by Max Clendinning in 1967. It consists of a rosewood veneered plywood frame. The settee features elegant curves and rounded edges. All the pieces in this range were self-assembly and modular. One could select the desired amount of elements and side frames and connect them together by hand.
The rosewood veneer is in good condition, showing minor signs of age and wear. Re-upholstery is possible, which can be done by the experienced craftsmen in our in-house atelier.
