Mats Theselius for Källemo, chaise longue 8/50, steel, patinated leather felt, Sweden, 1992
Limited edition daybed by Swedish designer Mats Theselius. The chaise lounge consists of a base in green steel and a green leather seating. What characterizes the design is the curvy seat. The patinated leather flows in dynamic lines that provides great comfort. The leather upholstery is separated in rectangular parts that structure the seat visually. Special feature is the storage space underneath that is accessible on both ends of the seat. Mats Theselius is known for his a-typical designs, most of them produced in limited editions. All for Källemo Sweden. This functional and aesthetic piece is another great example of his style and inventiveness with bold shapes and materials. An etched metal plate states M.T. 8/50 (serial number), meaning that this item is an early edition in the volume of 50 produced pieces.
