Marzio Cecchi Oval Green Marble Table
Marzio Cecchi for Studio Most, centre table, in green marble and brass, Italy, 1960s.
Very special green marble table designed by Marzio Cecchi. The design of this table is from the 1960s and haven't been produced at large-scale. This kind of dark green marble is truly remarkable, so to find a table in this type and appearance is very rare; especially when you take a close look to the wonderful condition this one is in bv. The shape of the two bases is remarkable to say the least. Build up with a number of round disks each separated repeatedly with brass rings gives this table the unique expression. Very strong and solid material used, the round edges provide a certain softness to the design. Base and top are in perfect balance due to its elegant designed forms. Starting designing at a younger age, Marzio Cecchi was an eclectic and innovative artist, leaving a "history" of big ideas, drawings, architectural achievements is that of decor and design.
