Luigi Saccardo 'Topline' Highboards in Vibrant Green and Black Color

Sale price$3,200.00

Luigi Saccardo, 'Beehive' large cabinets from the 'Topline' series, lacquered laminated wood, metal, Italy, circa 1976

Back in the seventies, Topline was a newly introduced collection by Casem, a company based in Castelfiorentino (Florence). Conceptualized by Luigi Saccardo, the collection featured a range of premium furniture pieces that combined minimalist design with practical functionality. As exemplified, the units feature open compartments, of which each individual compartment is 40 cm / 15.75 in. The clean and open layout of the cabinets allows to display objects in several ways. The top and bottom sections are provided with green door panels with subtle round metal door handles. The combination of the black and green high gloss laminated wooden panels really catches the eye. Luigi Saccardo clearly created a postmodern design that breathes the characteristics of Italian design of that period.

Kindly note that the pieces are in good, used condition with signs of age and use, including scratches and wear marks. Restoration is possible before shipping by our experienced craftspeople in our own in-house restoration atelier. With high attention for the original, they make sure every piece retains its value and is ready for the many years to come. We kindly ask you to contact our design experts for further information about the endless possibilities our restoration and upholstery atelier has to offer. Of course, a locally organized restoration is possible as well.
