Living Room Set with Dining Table in Solid Pine and Chairs in Oak and Straw

Lovely dining room set consisting a large Spanish table in solid pine and eight French dining chairs in red lacquered oak en straw seats.

This remarkable table holds a strong expression due to several aspects that are all typical for Spanish Midcentury design. First the use of solid pine wood holds a rural and robust aesthetic. Secondly, the design is constructed out of basic, elemental shapes such as the circle and cross. The table has an open look and is structurally supported by means of a horizontal beam. The wood structure has a beautiful grain. Very well made, great wood joints are visible.

Stunning set of eight French chairs with red oak frames and classic organic straw seats. This set of chairs features a solid wooden frame, consisting of cylindrical thick legs that are connected to each other with elegant slim horizontal slats. The seats and backrests are executed in straw. The way this large set is designed shows a strong resemblance to the ´Dordogne´ chairs designed by Charlotte Perriand. Particularly the characteristic method of folding straw rope vertically, which leaves this typical horizontal line in the middle of the back and the seat.
