This elegant set of dining chairs, manufactured by Ton, features a wonderful bentwood frame. A more modern model compared to contemporary designs of Ton and Thonet, the design is build up with geomtreic shapes. For instance, the round seat and backrest. The chair is hourglass shaped. The seat and backrest are upholstered in a beige, patterned fabric which is in good condition
Since we have a large number available, these chairs would be perfect for a large scale interior project. TON was founded after WWII in former Thonet factories and continued with the furniture making tradition set up by Thonet. In the 1960s, the TON Company asked various architects to contribute in research and develop new design forms by using the renown technology of bentwood, leading to new, more contemporary designs.
