Jules Leleu Pair of Pink Faux Leather Armchairs
Jules Leleu, armchairs, pink leatherette, brass and stained beech, France, 1957
This set of two elegant armchairs in wood and pink-purple leatherette upholstery, and are made out of solid oak. The high tapered wooden legs provide an open look to the L-shaped seating. Very comfortable chairs with padded armrest that provide extra comfort. The chairs contain brass details at the feet of the legs, and nailed armrests, which gives the chairs a luxurious look. The leatherette back rests that are placed against the wooden frame, leave some open space, which gives the chair a sculptural appearance. Note the small brass geometric feet.
We have another pair (see photo) that is very similar but features small variations in the details such as the height of the back and the design of the brass feet.
