Jan Vanek Pair of Easy Chairs with Woven Straps Upholstery
Pair of lounge chairs, in wood and canvas, by Jan Vanek for UP Zavodny, Czech Republic, 1930s.
Stunning pair of dynamic armchairs designed by Czech architect Jan Vanek, who was a contemporary of Jindrich Halabala. These chairs are upholstered with a ruby woven canvas seat and elegant bent wooden frame. The dark stained wooden frame nicely blends in with the burgundy upholstery.
The canvas holds original patina with fading and minor imperfections. The bentwood frame shows traces of age and use. If desired, these chairs can be fully restored by our own team of specialists. Reupholstery is advised and possible in any kind of fabric or leather.
