Italian Pair of Lounge Chairs in Cognac Leather
Lounge chairs, leather, chrome, Italy, 1970s.
This pair of lounge chairs truly radiates Italian design of the seventies. The use of soft cognac leather combined with striking geometric forms is highly notable and characteristic for that era. The outer frame resembles the designs of Italian designer Luigi Massoni for Poltrona Frau. The bulky cushions with tufted details provide a comfortable seat and makes this set a beneficial yet elegant combination. The backrest shows an eccentric shape with a vertical straight gap in the middle. The straight shape is also repeated in the armrests. A chrome base is used for its support.
