Federico Munari, lounge chair, brass, fabric, Italy, 1960s

This eccentric lounge chair is created by the Italian designer Federico Munari and features an interesting composition. The construction is visually interesting which is based on a sculptural frame. The seating is designed as a shell that embrace the sitter wonderfully. The tapered delicate legs are executed in brass and lift the corpus in a graceful manner. The seat is upholstered in a beautiful grey-blue shade combined with a khaki-colored fabric. This item radiates a subtle and simplistic design with stunning aesthetic details.

The upholstery shows signs of age and use. The piece can be reupholstered if desired. The experienced craftsman of our in-house atelier are specialist on re-upholstery of design furniture. With high attention for the original, they make sure every piece retains it's value and is ready for the many years to come.
