Italian Art Deco Dry Bar in Walnut
Dry bar, walnut, wood, glass, brass, gold lacquered wood, Italy, 1940s This Art Deco Italian dry bar has been designed, circa 1940s. The doors have a striking design with the vertically placed scalloped slats, creating a striped pattern. This striped pattern is contrasted by the interior of the dry bar, with horizontal stripes in darkened wood. These stripes are visible through the playful glass windows with wavy frames, executed in gold lacquered wood. The handles of the doors are executed in brass. When opening the doors, the dry bar features several glass shelves, and also some shelves in the doors itself. When placing bottles on the inside of the cabinet, they will be visible through the windows, thanks to the lighting inside. The sturdy dry bar is lifted from the ground by a geometrically shaped rectangular foot.
