Ib Kofod-Larsen PD30 Lounge Chair in Teak
Ib Kofod-Larsen, PD30 chair in black leather and teak for Povl Dinesen, Denmark, 1960s.
The designer of this chair, Ib Kofod-Larsen (1921-2003) is known for his distinctive designs features and comfortable materials and simplistic lines, with circular seats and pointed legs. This particular chair has a frame obtuse and tilted angles which almost seems to be alive. The front legs of the frame seem to walk away. Thanks to this sturdy and dynamic base, the legs have the capacity to carry the masculine chair leather chair easily. Characteristic of this chair is its back support, which follows the curvature of the body. Overall, this chair has a very static and staid appearance thanks to the simplistic form of the leather shell.
